Belief:
Hospitality is at it’s best when it’s effortless and genuine, we believe that we will be welcoming our guests into our homes, rather than just a restaurant. We’ve been incredibly lucky to be raised in households where guests truly were treated as gods. This philosophy which is the fabric of Indian hospitality lays the groundwork for us. A restaurant where the guest and their experience matter the most, a place that is always filled with warmth, kindness, empathy and cheer. A restaurant that earns it’s living through generosity, abundance and love and care.
Team:
They are a passionate team of four. Madhusudhan, Varun, Sudha and Surjeeth.
Concept:
At Lipī, they serve 14 guests with an exotic tasting menu prepared with organic Indian ingredients. Therefore, the menu is updated depending on the season. It's reservations only restaurant. Tickets are available on www.lipiblr.com.
My Role with Lipī -
Digital Refinement of logo and Brand Identity, UI/UX designer for the website, and Project Manager.
Working on Brand Identity was challenging with vertical alignment of logo. Needed to keep in mind the various places it will be used like business cards, letterheads, menu, take-away boxes, website, social media etc. Another challenge was to keep it in proportion.
My brief for the website was simple. It should be clean, intuitive, and on point, they said. Started with prototype with pen on paper, did few variations and presented it to them. We went forward with the layout they agreed upon.
As a project manager I had to take care of tasks that varied from finding a developer to successful completion of the website. And co-ordinate with the Lipī team about the progress along with the design work. Yes, it was tough to keep up with everything but I enjoyed it. I did my best to get everything done successfully in the timeframe keeping the team happy :)

Lipī means script. Name does the justice to this restaurant. They are writing their own script in the world of fine dining. Located in Indiranagar, Bengaluru they serve 14 guests with delicious tasting menu and provide with an experience that they'll cherish.
On the left is the sketch by Sudha that was provided to me for further digital refinement and create a Brand Identity for them. The concept was developed by Madhusudhan, Srinidhi, and Sudha.
The above three were the final variations. The third one was finalized as our logo for Lipī.
